12 August- Friday - S. Euplio Fest

  •  translation of S. Euplio's relics from the Cathedral to the Cripta (Borsa Square)
  • Town Hall  pays floreal homage to the Saint
  • Holy Mass in the martyrdom locations- The Cripta is opened from 8.30/12.00- 17.00/20.00 p.m.
  • h.19.00 Holy Mass in the Cathedral (Duomo Square)- Rev. Antonio Gentile will celebrate with the Archdiocese's deacons partecipation.   

 

15 August-Monday -Solemnity of the Ascension of Mary into Sky


  • h. 08,00 – 9.30- 11.00 and 18.00 p.m High Mass in the Cathedral

 

16 August - Tuesday

  • h.19.00 - High Mass- Mons.Barbaro Scionti-  followed by the procession of the Holy Veil of S.Agata

Itinerary: Duomo square,Vittorio Emanuele street, San Placido Square, Porticello street, stop-off at S.Agata's altar in Dusmet street- devotees pay floreal homage to the Saint and will be hold a commemoration by Rev.do Mons. Giovanni Perni,  for the "homecoming" of the Sant'Agatha's relics from Costantinople. Stop at San Placido Church. Fireworks

  • h.20.00 p.m.  procession of the Saint'Agatha's Reliquary Bust, with the devotees and  fireworks show, from Duomo square, Porta Uzeda ( Arch beside the Cathedral)  along Dusmet street, Porticello street, San Placido square, Vittorio Emanuele street and return in Duomo square.
